Slide has its roots in 2002, when the engineer and designer Giò Colonna Romano, combining his lively imagination with a thirty-year knowledge of plastic resins, decides to get involved. Since 2015, his son Marco Colonna Romano has taken over the reins of the company, with the same determination and desire for innovation as his father. Over time Marco surrounds himself with a team of talented artists and designers, making SLIDE a renowned and well-known brand all over the world. Thanks to the brio of this team, SLIDE becomes a beloved company for outdoor furniture: new materials, new shapes, new tactile textures quickly conquer the hearts of artists and designers from all over the world, leading them to collaborate with renowned international artists such as Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Fabio Novembre, Marcel Wanders, Marc Sadler and many others. Despite the great success of the furniture lines, SLIDE does not forget its first essence: lighting. In fact, in recent years he has developed a line of much more technical lamps, dedicated to large areas and with a great visual impact. Today SLIDE continues its successful production in Buccinasco, near Milan, and distributes its products in more than 130 countries around the world.
