Cuore e Cuora home ornament belong to a collection designed by the famous designer Marcello Jori for Alessi, who inspires himself by Peter Carl Fabergé jewel eggs. Fabergé eggs was a jewelled egg created by the jewellery firm House of Fabergé, in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire, between 1885 and 1917. Fabargé and the jewellers made the first egg in 1885. Tsar Alexander III, who gave his wife Empress Maria Feodorovna jewelled Easter eggs, ordered the egg. Faberjorì decorations refer to this distant past, preserving the artisanship, the executive quality, the richness of the decoration and the care for details. The collection consists of decorations inspired by the same number of original characters, who preserve and tell a particular story. In this case, there is Cuore e Cuora, a wonderful heart-shaped decoration that opens in two halves showing the face of two lovers that complement each other when combined together.
