Medhelan paperweight, made of concrete. Elegant and refined, the Medhelan paperweight is inspired by the classic traffic bollard designed by Enzo Mari in 1980. The Medhelan paperweight not only perfectly fulfils the role of keeping papers and documents in order, but is also a real table sculpture thanks to its fascinating design. Designed by Giulio Iacchetti for Danese Milano.
"An object that, in addition to fulfilling the role of keeping the documents that accumulate on our worktops in order, has the ambition of becoming a new souvenir of Milan!"
This is how Giulio Iacchetti presents Medhelan, the paperweight that acts like a sculpture. Made of concrete, Medhelan replicates the traffic bollard designed by Enzo Mari in 1980, when he was a consultant for urban design at the Municipality of Milan. In the space of five years, Enzo Mari's design literally invaded the streets not only of Milan, but of all Italy, becoming the designer's most popular object. Taking up the gentle geometries, Giulio Iacchetti wanted to re-propose the design, creating a small but functional object. Medhelan fits perfectly in any environment, from offices to classic or contract furniture. It keeps the documents piling up on your desk tidy and, at the same time, is a real icon to be proudly displayed! Discover the other fantastic Danese Milano products here on Newpop.it!
