Their mastery, meticulousness and tireless ability to always have new visions led them to work on Blur, a collection that offers two different readings. Observing the carpet from afar, one notices an undefined and blurry surface, which gives the collection its name. However, as you approach the carpet, rhythmic lines and rhombuses reveal themselves in different proportions, in the purest kinetic style. Blend rugs are kilim rugs, durable and resistant rugs woven with the hand-looming technique. This technique consists of a flat-shaped carpet, in which the warp threads attached to the main loom are interwoven with the weft threads. One of the main characteristics of this technique is that the weft is much tighter and denser than the warp, making it bear the weight of the design. The blurred effect that is obtained is achieved by reversing the direction in which kilims are traditionally woven, which makes the process much more laborious. This change in weave causes the lines to blur, mixing two colors unevenly, creating an aged rug, reminiscent of the past.
