The Capas collection focuses on the creation and use of layers of colours, shades and shadows to generate an intense depth while being easy enough to blend into any environment due to the presence of a wide range of colour nuances. Hahn’s starting point for the Capas collection is his idea that shadows are never black or grey but full of colour and geometry. The designer's goal was to create a simple, light rug that has a casual feel while being complex in its use of colour and depth formation. To achieve this goal, nanimarquina and Hahn intensively studied the specifics of Kilim weaving techniques in search of new ways to distribute colour. After months of research, nanimarquina and Hahn developed a new type of loose Kilim structure that allows for the mixing of warp and weft colours. Normally, a warp is not visible in a Kilim.
