Art in Corfu has been influenced by the different cultures as well as by the many artists who immigrated bringing with them their knowledge. The first Corfiot pottery in geometric style was inspired by Corinthian pottery but in the 6th century BC there began to be pottery work in a Corfiot style that no longer drew inspiration from the Corinthians.
