From the early days, Iittala and designer Oiva Toikka have worked to create a truly unique design. Now, the Kastehelmi candle holder is the example, it is the perfect balance between form and function. Simplicity, pure and simple. This classic candlestick is made from mouth blown glass and has a beautiful flared base. Its design was conceived by Oiva Toikka and was first presented in 1958. Kastehelmi means 'dew drop' and refers to this special type of naturally formed Baltic amber.
