Alessi involved in research on the use and tasting of oil, Marta Sansoni has designed this refined small object consisting of a green glass container, closed by a measuring cap. The latter is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish and completed with a special polypropylene gasket. The container is used for oil tasting, the measuring cap can be used on the bottle of the chosen oil. Once the bottle has been used, the cap can be placed back on the container waiting for a new use. The glass container, designed to facilitate the tasting of the oil, is colored so that the evaluation is not conditioned by sight. The green color was chosen to evoke the first pressing oil. Its shape narrows as it proceeds towards the mouth of the glass to allow the aroma of the oil to flow towards the nose. Poetic and refined, "Fior d’olio" recalls the stalk of a freshly picked olive; a hole made inside the leaf allows the passage of air necessary for the oil to flow.
