With Monofiori Balloton the artistic forms of the classic abandon the schemes to make room for an approach in which art becomes more and more conceptual and expressive. Designed in the early 1970s, the Monofiori Balloton vases characterized by the technique used for their realization: the balloton technique. For the balloton technique, we rely on the use of a metal mold, with small pyramid tips with a square base along the entire internal surface of its circumference. In blowing, the glass completely fills the void and gives a particular optical effect of crossed relief.
