The Opalino vase collection was born in 1932 from the mind of Paolo Venini, one of the leading figures in the processing of Murano glass and in the contribution given to 20th century design. In this collection we find vases of different sizes and colors united by a clearly evident project line: the exclusive processing of milky glass combined with the extraordinary refinement of the colours. Opalino can be conceived as a journey through time that connects the fifteenth century to the neoclassicism of the twentieth century: each piece in the collection appears to be current despite having been created with remote processing techniques. It is the discovery of a new order of refined design despite the essentiality that prevails in every work.
